Summary: Reporting to the COO, the VP of Operations is responsible for the overall leadership and management for the Sterling, VA manufacturing facility. Overseeing plant operations and continuous improvements activities with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality, distribution, and all production related initiatives.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years' experience or more of progressive leadership managing manufacturing/plant operations specializing in sous-vide
• Minimum of 5 years' or more years of production management experience
• Experience handling sous vide food industry production audits, good manufacturing practices, and other food safety standards
• Demonstrated ability to drive production in a manufacturing environment
• Established track record of high performing plant leadership, fostering an environment of teamwork and common goals and developing and mentoring manufacturing staff
• Demonstrates values of honesty and integrity, respect for others, teamwork, and collaboration, accountability and performance
• Proven organizational, technical, quality, safety, and environmental skills as they relate to the operation and maintenance of facilities
• Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual is preferred

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing technology, engineering Food Science or a related field, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Master's degree preferred

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provides the leadership and management necessary to ensure that Cuisine Solutions' manufacturing facilities have proper operations controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
2. Leads manufacturing facilities in Alexandria and Sterling locations to achieve and surpass operational excellence standards, business goals and objectives.
3. Supports and collaborates with COO in the development, formulation, communication and implementation of effective operational strategies, goals, programs and processes designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the organizations.
4. Enhances, develops, implements and enforces policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company.
5. Establishes credibility throughout all plant locations as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
6. Directs the ordering and upkeep of building, material handling equipment and inventory.
7. Supports, builds and continues initiatives for improvement in safety, quality, productivity and cost.
8. Implements and reinforces operational policies and procedures throughout production processes to ensure that execution meets standards and expectations while adhering to financial requirements.
9. Provide proactive intra and inter-departmental leadership and communications to support and drive teamwork and efficiencies.
10. Direct and coordinate all plant functions including Manufacturing, Production, Control, and Maintenance to assure common direction toward plant goals.
11. Guide and support the plant quality and food safety systems in procedures and controls to improve overall customer satisfaction.
12. Be proactive and responsive to all facets of customer satisfaction including delivery, schedule changes and special instructions
13. Collaborate with all levels of the organization to ensure alignment of goals and progress towards them along with short term and long term needs and plans.
14. Be conversant in the company's integrated manufacturing ERP software.
15. Participate in the development of the company's strategic planning and programs.
16. Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.
