Environmental Protection Industries ("EPI") is a full-service environmental consulting and remediation firm located in South Holland, Illinois. We are looking for a mid-level Environmental Scientist / Geologist / Engineer with 2 – 5 years of experience to join our team.
Typical duties and responsibilities include:
- Conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and job site inspections.
- Researching historical property records and preparing comprehensive Phase I ESA reports to be issued to clients in a timely matter.
- Identifying potential environmental risks and liabilities with the job site property.
- Perform property site visits while collecting & analyzing environmental data and noting signs of contamination.
- Prepare soil boring logs, analytical data tables, figures/maps/cross-sections, and other components of technical reports.
Position Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in geology, engineering, environmental science, or a related technical field.
- 2 - 5 years of related experience conducting Phase I ESAs.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Ensure that the work being performed meets all applicable codes/regulations and you will work alongside the rest of the environmental team to come up with comprehensive and creative solutions.
Travel to Chicago Area project sites is required.
