Pest Technician

Role Overview Our Pest Control Technicians perform industry‑leading pest management services for residential customers across the White Plains, NY area, operating primarily from a Franklin Lakes, NJ branch. After a few days of in‑office training, the role is largely remote in the field with occasional branch visits. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points. Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, while adhering to safety standards. Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest‑free environment. Provide advice on how to reduce the risk of future infestations. Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, assist with sales to current customers, and expand service offerings to new customers. Ensure that all pest control equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and in good working condition. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols. Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle (routine maintenance supplied). Essential Job Functions Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways. Work around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights and scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals—approved training provided. Operate in varying weather conditions using company‑provided weather gear. Move frequently—sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles. Wear personal protective equipment such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator. Qualifications Clean‑shaven face (required for rebreather use). High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us). Available to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed. Openness to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control. Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills. Basic math skills for product label instructions. Customer‑facing experience preferred. Compensation Base hour for full‑time employees: $18.00 – $20.00. Pay can vary based on location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment.
