As a Mechanical Assembler II on our growing team, you are contributing to the success of the company by safely and efficiently troubleshooting and installing mechanical items on dump trucks and trailers. If you are bright, highly motivated, and a team player we encourage you to apply!

Duties/Responsibilities

• Drill holes in steel frames and bolt on parts
• Run/Feed electrical wiring and hoses.
• Zip tie wires and take accurate measurements.
• Electric & Hydraulic connection / plumbing
• Basic understanding of air systems & operations
• Basic welding
• Console Installation
• Pump Installation
• Large assembly installation such as tanks and saddles etc.
• Touch up paint.
• Body electrical outfit
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals.
• Ability to read blueprints or schematics.
• Ability to learn and work in a team environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and calculate differences in measurements.
• Ability to Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding) is preferred.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED or Equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a mechanical field with hydraulic system repairs including pump valves, cylinders, etc.
• Must be comfortable with electrical trouble shooting.
• Must have wrenching experience.
• Must be comfortable using power tools, pneumatic wrenches, grinder, air tools etc.
• Must be eager to learn, have a good work ethic, and be able to accept responsibility for work performed.
• Leadership skills desired.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.

Additional Job Information

• This is a non-exempt, hourly position and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis
• Typical Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5AM - 3:30PM, Overtime may be available on 5th day of the week and/or Saturdays
• Location: On Site – 1655 W 10th PL, Tempe, AZ 85281
• Travel: Very minimal to none
