Data Engineer

Title: Data Engineer
Location: Newark, DE and Pennington, NJ (We can only consider candidates who are able to attend an onsite interview at any of the specified locations.) - 3x each week onsite

We have an exclusive requirement from Client , with interview slots available next Thursday and Friday . The process will begin with a virtual interview, followed by an onsite round.


Interview Process - 2 -rounds (Interviews would be early morning as they have a offshore lead joining 8-10AM ET)

• 1st - 30 min. virtual screening w/VP
• 2nd - 1 hr. in person with Architect and team leads

Interview Times:

• Thursday 12/4: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM ET
• Friday 12/5 : 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM ET

Required Skills:

• Hadoop
• Spark
• PySpark
• SQL (Expertise)

Background

• Team works with in-house models and data stacks
• Handles 20-30 million transactions per day.
• Current initiative: Credit fraud detection.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily on the data side of AI projects.
• Understand data and develop ETL processes.
• Perform feature engineering and data extraction.
• Manage and process large volumes of data in a high-performance environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Banking/financial services experience (preferred, not required)
• Python programming
• Exposure to Machine Learning project
