Job Description
Title
Travel RN - Med/Surg

Schedule
- Night shift: 12-hr nights, 18:45-07:15
- Weekends: Assigned every other weekend
- Holidays: Must be willing/able to work holidays

Assignment Details
- Assignment length: 13-26 weeks
- Daily census: ~43

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Charge experience preferred; charge role required on nights
- NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submittal
- Required certifications: BCLS (BLS)
- Required skills: Experience with EPIC, ability to manage insulin and heparin drips

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to general med/surg patients, including adults and geriatrics.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, including managing drips and wound care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Float to similar units and alternate care locations as required.

Compliance / Notes
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required
- Flu vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Pre-employment/testing: Candidate must complete required lab/testing within 48 hours of signing; EKG test required prior to start
- RTO restrictions apply: No time off during the first week; up to 7 days auto-approved in some cases; must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
