Paraeducator - Reading Full Time

Full-Time Reading Paraeducator at Killingly Memorial School Full-time Paraeducator to work in an elementary setting to assist with reading instruction. Child Development Associate (CDA), associate degree, or Para-Pro certification required. An associate degree or higher and experience with reading instruction are strongly encouraged. Position is 32.5 hours per week, 10 months per year. Benefits. Starting $18.50 per hour. *New hires will be placed at the appropriate step of the salary schedule by the Superintendent of Schools based upon experience, training, and unique skills; such placement decisions will not be arbitrary or capricious. Responsibilities Assist classroom teachers with reading instruction in elementary grades. Support students in developing reading skills and comprehension. Collaborate with teachers to implement individualized instruction plans. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required. Qualifications Child Development Associate (CDA) certification, associate degree, or Para-Pro certification. Associate degree or higher preferred. Experience with reading instruction encouraged.
