Temporary Financial Assistant

Northwestern University is seeking a temporary part-time financial assistant for the Evanston campus. This is a part-time position (15 hours per week) with a pay rate of $24.00 per hour. The temporary job description involves providing day-to-day financial and administrative support to the Theatre Department. This role will assist with expense reimbursements, account reconciliations, purchase orders, and other financial transactions while serving as a resource for faculty and staff.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication and customer-service skills, and an interest in or appreciation for finance, accounting, and working with numbers. The ability to stay organized, manage multiple requests, follow through on tasks, and communicate clearly with faculty and staff is essential.

Qualifications required include a bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience; strong writing skills; high level of organizational skills and attention to detail; the ability to work independently; experience working with confidential information; professionalism; and flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Software required includes MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

In addition to salary, this temporary position is eligible for paid time off and paid sick time in accordance with Northwestern University policies. This position is not eligible for other benefits offered to regular staff positions.
