We’re Hiring: Energy Consultant  

Onyx Power & Gas Consulting is looking for an experienced  Senior Energy Consultant to join our Energy Sales team.

The Opportunity  

Reporting to the President, the Senior Energy Consultant will represent Onyx in developing and managing commercial and industrial customer relationships across deregulated energy markets. This is a consultative sales role focused primarily on  electricity and natural gas , with opportunities to work with complex customer needs and deliver customized energy solutions. 

What You’ll Do  

·       Develop new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, and outbound outreach. 

·       Build and manage commercial and industrial customer relationships. 

·       Assess energy needs and recommend appropriate solutions. 

·       Present energy procurement, efficiency, renewable energy, and related services. 

·       Prepare proposals, quotes, and contracts. 

·       Negotiate and close sales while achieving revenue and profitability goals. 

·       Maintain accurate CRM records and sales pipeline activity. 

·       Stay current on energy markets, regulations, trends, and incentive programs. 

·       Partner with internal teams to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction. 

What We’re Looking For  

·       Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Environmental Engineering, Earth Science, or a related field. 

·       5+ years' experience in energy consulting, energy procurement, or related sales. 

·       Knowledge of renewable energy and energy markets. 

·       Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. 

·       Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. 

·       Detail-oriented and highly organized. 

·        CEA, CEP, or CEM certification is a plus.  

·       Belief that investing in community matters.    

Work Location: Remote with team reporting to our Dallas, Texas General Office. 

Salary commensurate with experience.
