Position Title: Diesel Mechanic Location: ATP Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
ATP is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and related systems
- Perform preventive maintenance on trucks, heavy equipment, and machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Complete work orders and maintenance logs accurately
- Conduct safety checks and ensure equipment is operating properly
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support operational needs
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must have PPE and follow all safety protocols
