Inventory Supervisor

Inventory Supervisor Schedule: First Shift, Monday-Friday We are seeking an experienced Inventory Supervisor to lead our daily inventory control, replenishment, and receiving operations. This position is responsible for supervising a team of up to five warehouse associates while ensuring inventory accuracy, efficient material flow, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with strong inventory management experience and a continuous improvement mindset. Key Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and develop a team of up to five warehouse associates. Oversee all receiving activities, including shipment verification, inspection, documentation, and ERP/WMS transactions. Manage inventory replenishment to ensure warehouse locations are stocked and materials are available to support production and order fulfillment. Create, process, and monitor transfer orders between warehouse locations to maintain inventory availability and balance stock levels. Coordinate inventory movements to support production schedules, customer demand, and warehouse operations. Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, inventory audits, and timely discrepancy resolution. Investigate inventory variances, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Ensure proper product identification, labeling, storage, and inventory movement throughout the warehouse. Monitor inventory levels and work closely with Purchasing to identify shortages, excess inventory, and replenishment needs. Monitor daily productivity, prioritize workloads, and optimize workflow efficiency. Ensure compliance with warehouse safety policies, quality standards, and company procedures. Partner with Operations, Purchasing, Customer Service, Production, and Shipping to support business objectives. Develop and maintain inventory control procedures and recommend process improvements to increase inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to improve team performance and accountability. Track and report key inventory performance metrics, including inventory accuracy, receiving performance, replenishment completion, and inventory discrepancies. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, or a related field. Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. Strong knowledge of receiving, inventory replenishment, transfer orders, inventory reconciliation, cycle counting, and inventory control best practices. Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus), and Microsoft Office. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Forklift certification or the ability to become certified is preferred.
