Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

The position involves rotating shifts: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) and Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30). While travelers' preferred shifts will be taken into consideration, rotations may occur based on the operational needs of the hospital.

Job Description

The Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical/surgical telemetry unit. The RN may float to different units to care for patients with similar needs and will potentially manage patients on ventilators.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor and assess patients, interpreting ECGs and rhythm recognition.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• MUST have 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for.
• 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required; travel experience is acceptable.
• MUST possess an active Ohio RN license or a compact state license.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Reference from a manager or supervisor required for submission.
