Lead SQL Engineer

Leading a distributed team, the full-time remote Lead SQL Engineer will manage custom analytics requests, oversee the delivery of dashboards and queries, and enhance customer engagement through direct technical leadership. Key responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of SQL engineers across the US and Eastern Europe Own the end-to-end service model for custom analytics requests, ensuring quality and timely delivery Act as a customer-facing technical leader, translating business questions into actionable SQL deliverables Required qualifications 6+ years of experience writing and shipping production SQL at scale, preferably in e-commerce or customer analytics Strong experience with BigQuery and/or ClickHouse, focusing on performance optimization and data quality 2+ years of experience managing data engineers or customer-facing technical delivery teams Experience with request-driven service models, including intake, ticketing, and delivery standards Hands-on familiarity with modern e-commerce data stacks and tools such as Shopify, Meta, and Google
