Located in Omaha, NE and backed by a wealth of experience, National Indemnity Company offers one of the widest selections of commercial insurance products in the industry and the stability that agents and insureds have depended on for decades.Hours: Between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.15-30 hours per week during the school year depending on the applicant's schedule30-40 hours per week in the summerDuties in the Underwriting Department include:Evaluating risk acceptability based on driver quality, loss history, and overall business operationsIdentifying and communicating potential problems to lead underwriter(s)Communicating pricing decisions to agents and answer questionsDuring this internship, the student will gain:Knowledge of fundamental concepts of insurance (including coverages & pricing)An understanding of basic commercial auto insurance underwritingRequirements:Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or SeniorMajor in business, math, or equivalentWork with detail and accuracyKnowledge of basic mathExcellent grammar, proofreading and written communication skillsAbility to meet deadlinesWe want you to be involved!
