A Day in the Life

At Medtronic, you will experience a varied scope of tasks in an internationally successful medical technology corporation with long-term training and development opportunities. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving sales and profit goals by building customer relationships, managing customer potentials, and coordinating sales activities in your assigned sales territory. You will be responsible for strategic sales within the Enabling Technology Advanced Energy product portfolio. This position covers the region in eastern Germany and is therefore a remote position. Remote means that your home address is considered the primary workplace (home office). For meetings, your presence in the Medtronic office may be required occasionally. For this position, there is a facility-related vaccination requirement. Therefore, a complete measles vaccination is a prerequisite for filling the open position.

Responsibilities include, as follows:

• Achieving sales and profit goals in the assigned sales territory and the defined product area
• Developing strategic and goal-oriented project plans, medium- and short-term perspective
• Identifying and developing relationships with all key decision-makers and opinion formers, including sub-specialists, and especially with the department heads of neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery, thoracic and liver surgery, cardiology, cardiac surgery, plastic surgery, and the C-suite
• Interface with marketing, therapy sales specialists, sales reps, GPO manager, and integrated health solutions (IHS)
• Negotiation of contracts and conditions, sales conclusion
• Management of all account sales processes and activities at prioritized accounts (A, B, C)
• Identification and development of account potentials
• Responsible for forecast planning
• Documentation of sales activities in the CRM tool Sales Force Lightning

Required knowledge and experience:

• Preferably a completed study (Bachelor or Master) in the business, medical, or medical technology field
• Several years of sales experience, ideally in the medical technology sector
• Proficient negotiation skills and business acumen, very good understanding of the customers business
• Experience with financing and procurement processes in hospitals
• Openness to learning a good and broad product knowledge and therapy understanding in the defined product area
• We are looking for a team player
• Very good knowledge of German and English in writing and speaking
• Drivers license class B
