Assistant Maintenance Manager

Little Blue Valley Sewer District, a public agency created in 1968, operates two
wastewater treatment facilities in Jackson and Cass counties in western Missouri with offices
located in Independence. The district serves a growing region in the eastern and
southeastern Kansas City metropolitan area with a combined treatment capacity of 54 MGD
encompassing approximately 278 square miles of land area and has a reputation for

Salary Range: $73,281/yr to $109,922/yr

Assistant Maintenance Manager
* College degree (minimum Associate) with major related to technology, electrical or
mechanical systems. Experience in supervisory or management roles. Strong
interpersonal and leadership skills. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
* Experience may be substituted for accredited formal education (technical school or
college degree).
* Experience with wastewater treatment process control equipment & systems, and
related infrastructure.
* Experience in managing, repairing, and maintaining electrical & mechanical systems;
using computerized maintenance management systems and electronic work order
systems.
* Knowledge of purchasing and procurement methods, obtaining/using contracts,
quotation & competitive bidding processes, on-call service agreements.
* Proficient with office communications equipment and software, i.e., spreadsheets, word
processing, e-mail.
* Possess and maintain valid driver’s license and driving record satisfactory to District policy.
* Minimum qualifications cannot be obtained through on-the-job training

Salary/Compensation: $73,281 - $109,922 per year
