Health Safety Environment Coordinator

Location: Hopewell, VA Key Responsibilities Coordinate and support site emergency response and preparedness programs Maintain and oversee fire protection systems, inspections, and preventative maintenance activities Conduct fire prevention audits and assist with incident investigations Serve as a resource for OSHA, NFPA, DOT, and hazardous materials compliance requirements Administer the site respiratory protection program, including fit testing and training Support industrial hygiene initiatives, including air and noise monitoring Coordinate hazardous materials transportation programs and employee training Maintain emergency response documentation, procedures, and training records Partner with contractors, site leadership, emergency services, and external agencies Participate in SHE audits, risk assessments, incident reviews, and continuous improvement efforts Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required 5+ years of industrial, manufacturing, safety, emergency response, fire protection, or related experience EMT, Emergency Response Team (ERT), Fire Protection, or HazMat experience strongly preferred Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, NFPA, and emergency management requirements Experience with industrial hygiene monitoring, safety audits, and compliance programs is a plus Excellent communication, training, organizational, and problem-solving skills Preferred Background Fire protection systems and emergency response coordination Hazardous materials transportation and compliance Respiratory protection program administration Industrial manufacturing or chemical plant environments CPR, First Aid, firefighting, confined space rescue, or EMS experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Insight Global
