Senior IT Business Analyst

Job Description Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Senior IT Business Analyst to join our Computershare Corporate Trust (CCT) Technology team. Location Charlotte, NC, Minneapolis, MN, Columbia, MD (Hybrid). In this position you will be based in either the Charlotte, NC, Minneapolis, MN, or Columbia, MD office for a minimum of three days a week, with flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. Role Overview As the Senior IT Business Analyst, you will partner with product managers and project teams to define business requirements and meet project objectives. You will ensure that requirements align with our business strategy and meet business standards and guidelines. You will perform business analysis and administrative tasks to assist with the enhancement and maintenance of applications managed by the Enterprise Systems team. You will effectively manage risks associated with projects and scrum teams, including compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal Computershare policies, procedures, and controls. You will also be part of a cross‑functional Agile delivery team that creates customer‑oriented solutions aligned to the overall Computershare and Technology strategy. Key Responsibilities Work with operations and technical teams to research and resolve production issues. Communicate, collaborate and negotiate with key stakeholders (e.g. Value Stream Leader, LOB, Legal, Compliance). Manage and prioritize the scrum backlog and plan stories for upcoming sprints. Determine acceptance criteria for final UAT code. Obtain buy‑in on difficult decisions and solve complex issues when stakeholders disagree. Document high‑level requirements for further refinement, including preparation of user stories. Support estimates for User Stories based on the relative sizing scale used in the team. Accurately capture information in a format that stakeholders can understand, review and validate. What You’ll Bring You need: Good communication skills, clear verbal and written communication. Strong relationship‑building ability with stakeholders and confidence in setting expectations and meeting commitments to increase customer satisfaction. Attention to detail and ability to respond to problems by identifying and proposing solutions through analysis. Experience & Qualifications 5+ years of IT industry experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, education. 3+ years as a Senior IT Business Analyst and any relevant certification is an advantage. Ability to manage large‑scale initiatives and partner with stakeholders across business and technical teams. Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships. Ability to synthesize data to form a story and align information to contrast or compare to industry perspective and historical business trends. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, with flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability. 4+ years of experience with SQL. Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Previous experience working within an agile environment. Bonus Points Degree in IT or related discipline such as maths or science. Experience in Financial Services industry. Agile and Azure ADO experience in regulated organizations. Strong working experience with RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server. Experience with Purview.
