Associate Designer
Our client, a wholesale manufacturing apparel company is seeking an Associate Designer- Juniors Apparel to join their team in NYC!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing seasonal collections from concept to final design.
- Research market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences.
- Create detailed technical sketches, specifications, and mood boards to communicate design ideas.
- Collaborate with the production and merchandizing team.
- Attend fittings and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in fashion, fabrics, and techniques.
- Assist in preparing presentations for internal reviews and trade shows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and fabric types.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Excellent sketching and technical drawing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for trends.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
