Description
Monmouth County is seeking a full-time highly experienced, objective and empathetic Employee Relations Investigator with specific experience in matters of Employee Relations. Candidates must have a working knowledge of State and Federal employment law to include New Jersey Civil Service rules and the New Jersey Employer - Employee Relations Act. This position will manage and conduct timely workplace investigations consistent with County policy and procedure, State and Federal Employment Law and collective bargaining agreements. The successful candidate will have the skill and experience to conduct interviews, gather facts and evidence, analyze findings and make recommendations. The preparation of specialized reports, memorandums and correspondence is required. The application of consistent investigative practices should facilitate resolution strategies by following fact finding and preventing the escalation of workplace issues into formal disputes, complaints and/or litigation. Candidates will make determinations regarding credibility, gather and exam evidence, providing testimony as necessary. The recommendation of sound solutions, corrective action and intervention supporting employees and management through successful outcomes is essential The position requires five (5) years of professional office and/or field experience conducting investigations. Public Sector Labor Relations, Human Resources, preferred investigative experience.
