About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Environmental Health Legal team. The successful candidate will be a lawyer with a strong background in environmental and public health, dedicated to using the law to protect and promote the health of the community. The role involves guiding the development of environmental health regulations, assessing the impact of legislative and regulatory changes, and serving as the primary liaison with administrative hearing and tribunal systems. The Executive Director will also be responsible for supervising a team of legal and regulatory professionals, managing multiple projects, and ensuring the efficient completion of legal work. Applicants for the Executive Director position must be admitted to the New York State Bar and have a minimum of four years of legal experience, with at least 18 months in a supervisory role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creative and effective legal thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Experience in environmental health, public health, and administrative hearing and regulatory processes is highly valued. The role requires a leader who can inspire innovative policy ideas, is adept at project management, and is committed to the mission of the organization.
