Preventative Maintenance Engineer-Hotel Valley Ho

POSITION SUMMARY:

Preventive Maintenance takes care of the building, equipment and grounds of the hotel. This position will perform maintenance and repairs, and regularly scheduled maintenance, to all areas of the hotel.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Complete work orders such as replacing ceiling titles, filters, light bulbs, etc. Perform preventative maintenance duties as assigned. Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the facility, grounds, pool and exercise/sport facilities (including property signs, lighting and snow removal). Follow procedures that ensure the security of inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, televisions, etc. Ensure that the assigned equipment is prepared and operational for the following day’s work. Perform maintenance and repair work on the interior and exterior of buildings, hotels rooms and equipment, lighting, etc. Perform preventive maintenance as outlined in the PM Works program. May include and is not limited to: Inspect building, furniture, bathrooms, guest rooms, and all equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and efficiently, read and record mechanical and other meters to ensure effective energy management, and maintain inspection log and records of scheduled work and repairs. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Comply with federal, state and local laws regarding health and safety services. Perform other duties as assigned. Must demonstrate commitment to sustainability and green initiatives through actions. What are we looking for? Specific job knowledge, skill and ability: The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Bilingual English and Spanish preferred. Must possess adequate written, verbal and spoken communication skills in the English Language. Must possess ability to follow instructions. Experience in resort maintenance or a similar field is preferred. Must adhere to practices of occupational safety and health including wearing personal protective equipment when required. Physical Demands: Standing, walking, climbing ladders, squatting Lifting through full range (50+ lbs.) Enough physical flexibility to work in confined spaces Work in temperature extremes of heat, cold, inclement weather Ability to properly wear any required personal protective equipment Ability to work at heights above 6’ Compensation: Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
