About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: State or Compact RN License required Certifications: BLS, ONS/ONCC Must-Have: ONS/ONCC certification required Experience in outpatient chemotherapy infusion preferred Strong skills in port management and chemotherapy administration Description: This position involves providing care and treatment to patients undergoing chemotherapy infusion. Candidates are required to have a minimum of one year of nursing experience in a relevant setting. The role includes starting and maintaining IVs, administering chemotherapy, and managing side effects and complications. Familiarity with charting systems is necessary, and experience with Epic is a plus. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values. Floating to another location may be required within the scope of practice when necessary. Travelers are expected to work major holidays if they fall within the assignment period. Compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory for timely start dates. All time-off requests should be finalized at the time of submission. Consideration will be given to first-time travelers. Clinical fit will be assessed for candidates during a review process. The ideal candidate must possess strong organizational and communication skills. Experience with various cancers and their treatments is preferred. This is an outpatient chemotherapy infusion role that does not involve weekend shifts or call requirements. All travel candidates should be fully compliant prior to starting the position.
