Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B)

Driver - Cylinder Twinsburg, OH, United States | req29526 1st Shift. What you will enjoy doing You will provide a high standard of Customer Service while delivering, including unloading products, moving them to the customer use point, and reloading returned empty cylinders onto the vehicle. Driving accounts for approximately 30% of the day; the remainder includes delivery, cylinder handling, shipping orders/paperwork, customer contact, and vehicle AM & PM inspections. Accurately count and record quantities and styles of product delivered and picked up. Complete Hazardous Material shipping order paperwork in accordance with DOT/TC regulations. Maintain placarding of the vehicle according to hazardous material regulations and company standards. Conduct and report pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections. Identify need for vehicle repairs and or maintenance and ensure it is completed on time. Process medical and industrial gas cylinders using established plant guidelines and procedures. Perform visual, physical, and odor tests on cylinders before filling and determine whether retesting or repairs are required. Check cylinder quantities, styles, and product, and fill necessary product. Load and unload product from the weekly shuttle truck. Operate and maintain cylinder scales and associated equipment. Prepare warehouse transfer orders and accompanying paperwork for shipment and input the quantities, styles, and products into the computer to justify stock inventory. Complete and maintain quality control documentation as per company and governmental procedures. Operate a forklift truck and other plant vehicles. What Makes You Great High school diploma or GED required; at least two (2) years of driving experience or completion of a truck driver training program with equipment similar to Linde's. No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or other moving violations in the past two years. No alcohol‑related convictions within the last ten (10) years. A current medical examiner’s certificate or ability to pass a DOT physical. A class B CDL is required. Current Hazmat endorsement on CDL or ability to obtain Hazmat within 60 days of hire. More than two (2+) years of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment is preferred. Ability to read and write in English. 21 years or older.
