SECURITY SUPERVISOR

Security Supervisor Location: Abraxas Academy, 1000 Academy Dr., Morgantown, PA 1954 Salary: $65,000 Annually Job Type: Full-time Shift: Varied shifts including weekends Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in human services field and one year of residential treatment experience (preferred); or Associate’s degree or 60 college credit hours from an accredited college/university and three years’ experience working with children. Responsibilities Supervise monitoring of security cameras, alarms, and other surveillance systems. Coordinate incident response with staff and other personnel. Manage access control systems and regulate building movement. Develop and implement emergency response protocols and guide staff during critical situations. Maintain security technology and oversee maintenance of control panels, communication devices, and surveillance equipment. Maintain detailed logs and records of activity in the control room. Provide training to control staff on procedures and equipment usage. Ensure all facility security procedures are followed consistently. Collaborate with managers and department heads to support overall operations. Supervise control staff, including scheduling, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions. Monitor the outer perimeter using cameras, sensors, and the perimeter fence. Conduct regular patrols of the exterior to inspect fences, gates, and barriers. Control access points to guarantee only authorized personnel and vehicles enter or exit. Respond promptly to alarms, investigate causes, and act appropriately. Maintain employee schedules that ensure safety for clients and staff. Organize and monitor work activities and implement on‑the‑job orientation. Conduct supervisory meetings and performance evaluations. Schedule mandatory training and keep training records. Supervise Safe Crisis Management usage. Qualifications At least 21 years of age. Valid driver’s license. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Ability to work non‑traditional hours, including evenings and weekends. Background check (criminal, federal, state, child‑abuse), physical exam, and drug screen required. Experience with computers and the software commonly used in a security environment. Required Skills & Knowledge Knowledge of security systems, surveillance equipment, and access control. Strong communication and coordination skills. Ability to develop emergency response protocols. Familiarity with OSHA, fire and safety policies, and HIPAA confidentiality requirements. Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
