New Laborist (OB Hospitalist) Position at one of the TOP Hospitals in New Orleans!

Make an immediate impact in a high-volume Labor & Delivery program where you'll provide hands-on care from triage through delivery with the support of an experienced multidisciplinary team. This full-time OB Hospitalist opportunity is ideal for physicians who enjoy acute obstetric care, a predictable shift schedule, and the resources to manage complex cases with confidence.

Practice Overview

• Join an established OB hospitalist program providing 24/7 Labor & Delivery coverage
• Collaborate with OB/GYNs, laborists, midwives, APPs, experienced L&D nurses, and residents
• Strong physician support with dedicated backup call and faculty coverage
• Care for a broad range of obstetric cases with onsite MFM consultation, a Level III NICU, and advanced maternal care

Schedule

• Five to six 24-hour shifts per month (7:00 AM-7:00 AM)
• No back-to-back shifts with scheduling flexibility when possible
• Focus on unassigned patients, Labor & Delivery coverage, and collaborative triage
• Dedicated call room with sleeping accommodations and workstation

Compensation & Benefits

• Base compensation of 331,200 for six 24-hour shifts per month
• Additional shifts paid at 4,600 per 24-hour shift or 2,300 per 12-hour shift
• Seven PTO days annually with cash-out option
• Medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k), CME allowance, and reimbursement for licensure, DEA, and professional dues

Candidate Requirements

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• New graduates and experienced physicians encouraged to apply
• Comfortable managing Labor & Delivery and obstetric emergencies
• Visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates
