Cardiac Electrophysiology Physician Requirements

• Active Minnesota physician license or eligibility for temporary privileges
• Board certification in Cardiac Electrophysiology or the appropriate related specialty
• Completion of a three-year fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology or a related field
• At least 1 year of post-training experience practicing cardiac electrophysiology
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Clinical competence in the evaluation and treatment of cardiac rhythm disorders
• Ability to perform cardiac device procedures when scheduled and within the provider’s credentials and scope of practice

Cardiac Electrophysiology Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias and other electrophysiology conditions
• Provide comprehensive cardiac electrophysiology consultations and follow-up care
• Perform or assist with cardiac device procedures for appropriately selected patients
• Collaborate with cardiology, procedural, and clinical support teams to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up recommendations accurately
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care during scheduled weekday coverage
