* Thursday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
* Friday: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
* Approximately 10 hours per week

## About the Role

Veda Bakery is seeking an experienced and creative Head Pastry Chef with a strong background in laminated doughs to support our growing artisan bakery operation. This is an ideal opportunity for a pastry professional looking for a flexible, part-time role while having a meaningful impact on product development and production.

The ideal candidate is passionate about croissants, viennoiserie, and laminated pastries, and is excited to help elevate our menu through new product innovation and seasonal offerings.

## Responsibilities

* Lead production of laminated pastries, including croissants and specialty viennoiserie.
* Mix, develop, and manage croissant dough and other laminated doughs from start to finish.
* Execute dough lamination, sheeting, shaping, proofing, and baking to a high standard.
* Maintain consistency and quality across all laminated products.
* Assist with menu development and creation of new laminated pastry offerings.
* Collaborate on seasonal flavors, specialty products, and product innovation.
* Support production planning and ingredient preparation as needed.
* Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards are maintained.

## Qualifications

* Minimum 2 years of professional bakery or pastry experience.
* Strong hands-on experience with dough mixing, fermentation, and laminated dough production.
* Proven ability to produce high-quality croissants and viennoiserie.
* Understanding of dough behavior, proofing, and baking techniques.
* Creative mindset with interest in menu development and new product creation.
* Ability to work independently and efficiently in a small production environment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
