CFO

Salary : $110,000 - $120,000 Our client is currently seeking a highly hands‑on CFO for their mission driven organization that has a small office staff with a big mission! What We Like About This CFO Role Own and improve finance operations for a community‑impact, $60–70M endowment nonprofit Generous PTO and uncommon work‑life balance; high holiday closure days (up to 53 days in total!!) Direct strategic partnership with executive director and board; organizational influence, input, and accelerated operational impact Authority and partnership with executive leadership to influence operational effectiveness Direct impact on improving accounting processes, efficiency, and team structure High stakeholder visibility and input into board/executive decisions The Role The accounting function is closely linked to the organization’s endowment and involves endowment/foundation accounting, board reporting, and managing money in/out for fundraising activities. The successful hire must offer practical leadership, ensure adherence to GAAP, maintain and allocate documentation, projections, reporting, and actively partner with the executive. Core accounting (including chart of accounts, posting, reconciliations, compliance) Endowment/foundation accounting (allocations, tracking, reporting) Team leadership/operational oversight of finance staff Hands‑on accounting, manage a team, ensure compliance with nonprofit (GAAP) standards, drive process improvement, work with CEO, prepare/provide financials for board and committees, take part in meetings. Preferred Qualifications Of The CFO BS Accounting/Finance/Business related field 3+ years of nonprofit accounting experience within a leadership role; must understand nonprofit fund, endowment, and board reporting Ability to operate on‑site and provide team direction/clarification in a small, mission‑driven finance team #J-18808-Ljbffr
