EHS Specialist

Medtronic seeks an EHS Specialist focused on radiation safety for a medical device manufacturing role in Boston. The position involves administering radiation registrations, maintaining compliance documentation, monitoring personnel dose exposure, and collaborating across operational teams to ensure regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor radiation registrations, licenses, notifications, and renewals across sales and service operations
• Manage state and individual-level radiation registrations, documentation accuracy, and compliance filings
• Review personnel dose monitoring reports and investigate abnormal or elevated radiation exposures
• Coordinate radiation safety activities for device demonstration, training, and loaner use programs
• Partner with field service, sales, operations, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure compliant radiation device tracking and use

Requirements

• High school diploma with 6+ years relevant experience, or associate degree with 4+ years, or bachelor degree with 2+ years
• Background supporting radiation safety or regulatory compliance for radiation-emitting medical devices
• Knowledge of x-ray device registration, notification, and radiation safety requirements
• Experience reviewing radiation dose monitoring reports and investigating abnormal exposure results
• Preferred: Radiation Safety Officer certification or degree in related field
• Preferred: Familiarity with federal, state, and local radiation control requirements
