Applicants for this position must be able to drive a service vehicle to where a customer is having a problem and be able to repair or replace their tire(s) as needed. Job duties may be performed at the store location, at customer locations, and on roadside service calls. This position operates in all types of indoor and outdoor work environments, therefore exposure to heat and cold is to be expected. Strong work ethic along with excellent performance in safety and attendance is expected.ResponsibilitiesMounting and dismounting tires on retail vehicles, medium trucks, and trailers. Including training and use of additional safety equipment for enhanced danger.Balancing tires to ensure proper weight distribution. Understanding additional balance mechanisms such as balance beads and balance rings.Identifying and repairing punctures or other damage to tires and/or tubes.Patching or plugging tires as necessary.Evaluating retail vehicles, medium trucks, and trailers, lifting using proper equipment in accordance with safety protocols.Rotating tires at regular intervals to promote even tread wear, including medium truck and trailer patterns.Operate a Standard Commercial Service Truck (No Boom)Performing all the above tasks out of a mobile service truck.Responding to service calls dispatched to customer locations, which may include highways, parking lots, or job sites.Proper use of mobile equipment that may be different than equipment used at the store.Ensuring the mobile unit is properly maintained and stocked with necessary tools, equipment, and supplies.Efficiently managing time to respond promptly to service calls and complete on-site services.Maintaining communication with a service coordinator throughout service calls and documenting service call properly depending on customer needsQualifications/Experience RequiredValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordDemonstrate a strong work ethicBe professional in demeanor and attirePossess a high level of integrity, trustworthiness, reliability and accountabilityAbility to: Work weekends and on call.Plan and prioritize work efficiently while upholding excellent quality standards.Communicate effectively with customers and team members.Pass a pre-hire drug screenLift 50lbsPreferredRetail or commercial tire or automotive service experienceTIA CertificationService Truck ExperienceProficiency using computers/POS systemAt Tire Den, INC., we are a locally owned and operated business that is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and care to our customers while fostering a work environment where every team member feels valued and empowered.
