Assistant Foreman

Position Summary As an Assistant Foreman at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution and profitable delivery of projects by providing hands‑on support, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating with project leadership. Position Responsibilities Mobilization and Decommissioning: Assist and lead the setup and tear down of equipment for pumping systems, power generation and distribution, HVAC, energy and temporary utility systems. Emergency and Disaster Response: Participate in rapid deployment and resource management for disaster restoration and emergency response. Safety and Compliance Leadership: Promote and maintain a safe work environment by ensuring strict adherence to all company safety policies, procedures and best practices for every task and duty. Compliance Oversight: Identify potential hazards and implement necessary controls to minimize risk. Project Coordination and Efficiency: Collaborate with Project Leads and management to monitor project timelines and resource allocation. Performance and Delivery: Ensure projects are completed on time and all deployed equipment runs efficiently to guarantee profitable delivery and client satisfaction. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or education in mechanics or engineering is a plus. Prior experience in a mechanical, maintenance or related role specifically with bypass pumping, generators, power distribution, A/C and heat and water restoration or construction equipment. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical/electronic interfaces. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers, team members and internal resources. Pay Range Base Pay Range: $21.38 - $29.39 (starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including position offered, location, education, training and experience).
