Behavioral Health Lead – Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Behavioral Health Lead is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services, ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and effective team leadership. This role provides supervision to clinical staff, supports program development, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical LeadershipProvide oversight and guidance for behavioral health services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planningEnsure evidence-based practices are implemented across all servicesReview and monitor clinical documentation for quality, accuracy, and complianceSupport crisis intervention and risk management as neededTeam Supervision & DevelopmentSupervise, mentor, and evaluate behavioral health staff (therapists, counselors, case managers)Facilitate regular team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision sessionsIdentify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunitiesFoster a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team environmentProgram ManagementAssist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of behavioral health programsMonitor program performance metrics and outcomesEnsure services meet organizational goals and community needsSupport quality improvement initiativesCompliance & Quality AssuranceEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policiesMaintain accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CARF if applicable)Conduct audits and implement corrective actions when necessaryCollaboration & CommunicationCollaborate with medical providers, social services, and external partnersServe as a liaison between behavioral health staff and leadershipParticipate in interdisciplinary care planningAdministrative DutiesAssist with staffing, scheduling, and workload managementContribute to budgeting and resource allocationPrepare reports and documentation as requiredQualificationsEducation & LicensureAA degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related fieldActive, unrestricted licensure (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent)Experience3–5+ years of clinical experience in behavioral health1–2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role preferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and team management skillsKnowledge of evidence-based behavioral health practicesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage crises and make sound clinical decisionsStrong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesWork EnvironmentClinical or community-based setting (e.g., outpatient clinic, hospital, or nonprofit organization)May require occasional evenings or on-call supportPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periodsAbility to respond to crisis situations as needed#CALI1 #cali1 #J-18808-Ljbffr Creating A Legacy Inc
