Make a meaningful impact in the 2026–2027 school year as a BCBA/Autism Specialist in the Springfield area. This full-time, onsite contract role will involve supporting students and staff across four schools, with a focus on elevating outcomes for learners with autism. Your expertise will be central to empowering teams and creating effective, positive learning environments.
In this role, you will:
- Provide behavioral consultation and direct support for students with autism across multiple school sites.
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including teachers, paraprofessionals, and other specialists.
- Offer ongoing coaching to educators and paraprofessionals on evidence-based behavior strategies.
- Support inclusive practices and foster positive behavioral change in classroom settings.
Qualifications:
- Active BCBA certification (please submit a screenshot as part of your application).
- Prior experience as a school-based BCBA or Autism Specialist highly preferred.
- Strong background in conducting FBAs, developing BIPs, and implementing behavior interventions in educational settings.
- Demonstrated experience coaching and training staff working with students with autism.
- Must pass a drug screening, as well as fingerprinting and CORI/background checks.
- Reliable transportation, as the position requires travel between four school sites.
- Professional punctuality and clear communication regarding absences are essential.
