Physical Therapist Assistant – Geriatrics Location: SNF setting, 130 beds Salary Range: $31-$34 per hour Work Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, no weekend rotation Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to our geriatric patients. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain and maintain their physical abilities. Key Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the Physical Therapist Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patients' strength, range of motion, balance, and coordination Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for performing exercises and activities at home Communicate regularly with the Physical Therapist and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current state license or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant Minimum of 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical record systems We offer competitive salary and benefits packages, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.
