Health & Wellness SpecialistWe are looking for an energetic and results-driven Health & Wellness Specialist to provide onsite wellness programming, fitness center coordination, and injury prevention services for a large automobile manufacturer in Montgomery, AL. This role focuses on improving employee health, engagement, wellbeing, and workforce readiness through proactive wellness initiatives, fitness programming, health education, and early intervention services in a dynamic manufacturing environment.Come be a part of a growing organization in a progressive, supportive, and innovative team!Consistent schedule with a consistent 40-hour workweekShift differential for night and weekend workQuarterly KPI bonus potential!What will you be doing in this role?Planning, coordinating, and implementing employee wellness initiatives and health promotion campaignsDeveloping and managing fitness center programming and activitiesCreating workout programs for employees of varying fitness levelsCoordinating wellness challenges, Lunch & Learns, health fairs, screenings, and educational eventsProviding fitness center orientations, exercise guidance, and wellness coachingPromoting wellness topics including fitness, nutrition, stress management, sleep health, and mental wellbeingConducting posture assessments, ergonomic education, and injury prevention coachingSupporting Early Intervention and Prevention Services programsProviding group instruction on stretching, conditioning, posture awareness, and injury preventionMonitoring wellness participation and fitness center utilization metricsSupervising the fitness center floor to ensure participant safety and proper equipment useCollaborating with Safety, Medical, Prevention Services, and Production teams to improve employee health, comfort, safety, and productivityMaintaining accurate documentation and program recordsOur ideal candidate will have:A Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion or a related field such as Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Public Health, Human Performance, Fitness, or WellnessCPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain certification before employmentKnowledge of wellness, fitness, health promotion, and injury prevention principlesPrevious fitness center, corporate wellness, ergonomic, occupational health, or manufacturing experience preferredStrong communication, presentation, and coaching skillsThe ability to work both independently and in a team environmentA high degree of professionalism and confidentialityStrong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsThe ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the assigned shiftThe ability to occasionally lift up to 50 poundsWhat you get from us:Opportunity for important work/life balancePaid time off (PTO) & paid holidaysA robust benefits package: medical (HSA/FSA availability), dental, vision, and supplemental insurance optionsHealth improvement plan opportunities to lower premium costsCompany-sponsored basic life/AD&D insurance and long-term disability insurance401(k) & ROTH 401(k) savings plans + company match with auto-enrollment after probationary periodContinuing education assistanceOpportunities for growth and advancementAbout ProgressiveHealth:ProgressiveHealth is the premier provider of a broad spectrum of occupational and non-occupational health services including on-site medical, injury prevention, health improvement, rehabilitation management solutions, and more!
