What You’ll Be Doing As a Controls 1 Engineer, you will serve as a go-to technical resource for day-to-day operations while helping lead site expansion projects: Optimize & Support: Utilize PLC and HMI systems to optimize plant throughput, maintain strict quality control, and streamline production. Troubleshoot & Resolve: Partner directly with operations, maintenance, and quality teams on the plant floor to diagnose and resolve hardware, controls, and process bottlenecks. Drive Capital Projects: Contribute to the design, construction, installation, and commissioning of small-to-midsize capital investments and plant improvement initiatives. Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean/Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste, cut cycle times, and author standard operating procedures (SOPs) for site teams. What We’re Looking For Basic Qualifications: Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) . (Note: Applicants requiring current or future visa sponsorship, including OPT/CPT programs, cannot be considered). Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or 4+ years of practical engineering experience) PLUS at least 1 year of relevant industrial, manufacturing, or heavy process experience. Controls Knowledge: Formal training or at least 1 year of hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting PLC and/or HMI systems . Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old. Preferred Qualifications: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. 3+ years of hands-on controls engineering experience in a manufacturing facility.
