Key Responsibilities of the CT Technologist

• Conduct procedures and tests using CT equipment to acquire patient diagnostic data
• Use professional manners to verify patient identification and obtain patient history
• Obtain and manipulate images per protocols, including multi-planar and 3D reconstruction
• Administer oral and IV contrast to patients following safe procedures
• Maintain understanding of PACS and transmit images to appropriate systems
• Perform tasks in a timely manner and maintain a clean work environment

Requirements of the CT Technologist

• Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible
• Advanced certification in CT required
• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science
• Maintaining current competency in HCP BLS
• Ability to become registered within one year of employment
