About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Staff Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 48 Experience: Minimum of 5 years RN experience, with experience in a cardiac tele department. License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS Certification, ACLS Certification Must-Have: Required cardiology experience including TAVR, watchmans, mitral clips, heart catheterizations, preop/post op open heart, cardiac drips, anticoagulant management, and familiarity with CHF, CP, arrythmias, NSTEMI, STEMI, PE, post op CABG, Sepsis, PNA, Stroke, and observation patients. Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. They work to prevent illness and injury and alleviate suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response. Advocacy in the care of individuals and families is a critical part of the role. The RN is accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development. They will promote a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. They manage a group of patients, serving as a primary or accountable nurse when designated. Patient and family education in health promotion and disease management is essential. The RN utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology to administer medications safely. They share in responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization. Compliance with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and policies is required. The RN actively participates in and supports nursing governance and improvement initiatives. Professional development and continuing education are integral. The RN integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. Providing a supportive learning environment for new employees and students is important. They will perform other duties as assigned. The RN will follow all stated values and principles in their practice.
