The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering quality patient care using the nursing process and organizational policies. The RN ensures that all patients receive the highest standard of care with a focus on patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: * Assesses, plans, and implements nursing care for patients undergoing eye procedures. * Monitors patients' vital signs and responds to any changes in condition. * Administers medications and treatments as ordered by physicians. * Provides pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education and discharge instructions. * Collaborates effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. * Ensures accurate and timely documentation in the medical record. * Adheres to infection control protocols and maintains a safe and clean environment for patients. Required Skills: Qualifications: * Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state * Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing * Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred * Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS * Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient * Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation * Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed * Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
