The Medical Assistants supports the Nurse Clinic Manager to provide quality medical care to all Hunter Health Clinic (HHC) patients while maintaining compliance with all federal grants, OSHA, and HHC policies and procedures. Essential Functions: Assists Physicians, Mid-Levels, Nurses, and other Medical Assistants with patient care. Prepares for the scheduled patient 1-2 days in advance to identify needs and orders, and then leads daily care team huddles while reviewing the completed visit preparations. Assists with setting up patient rooms, tray and patient themselves for exams by what the visit entails. Follows all processes and procedures during patient visits, including capturing vitals, perform procedures and follow-up, and administer medication as requested by provider. Oversees that all prescription refill requests are reviewed and approved, then faxed and received. #J-18808-Ljbffr
