CDL-A Driver Trainer (Mentor) | OTR | Earn Up to $0.90+ CPM
Are you an experienced CDL-A driver who enjoys helping others succeed?
We're looking for Driver Trainers (Mentors) to work with new drivers while continuing to earn strong miles and competitive pay.
Position Highlights
- Solo OTR routes with drivers typically out 7-10 days
- Home time between trips
- 100% no-touch freight
- Solo position available
- Late-model equipment
- Consistent miles and year-round freight
Pay
- Earn $0.70 CPM or more, based on experience
- Weekly pay
- Additional performance incentives may be available
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of recent, verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Must live within 90 miles of Brook Park, OH
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must meet all DOT qualification requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
What You'll Do
As a Driver Trainer, you'll work one-on-one with student drivers as they complete their required over-the-road training. Trainers receive priority dispatch and have access to additional pay opportunities while helping new drivers build safe driving habits.
Schedule
- Typically out 11 days
- 1 day observation
- 10 qualifying training days
- Many trainers choose to take home time or run solo between trainees
- Priority miles available throughout training assignments
Pay
- Starting at $0.70 CPM, based on experience
- +$0.10 CPM training pay
- +Up to $0.10 CPM productivity pay
- Additional bonus opportunities available

New CDL graduates are encouraged to apply! We offer paid training, including over-the-road training with an experienced mentor, to help you build your experience and confidence. Drivers new to the industry will start at $0.35 CPM during training and until they reach 3 months of experience. Once 3 months of experience has been completed, drivers will be eligible for an upgrade to our standard solo pay starting at $0.70 CPM.
