Division Head of Abdominal Radiology

The University of Rochester Medicine's Department of Imaging Sciences is seeking a Section Head of Abdomen Imaging to oversee a team of 14 faculty members supported by licensed professional extenders and a dedicated radiology communication center. Practice Info Department of Imaging Sciences at URochester Medicine is a practice of approximately 145 radiologists and 50-60 residents and fellows Technical highlights include state of the art information technology, 3T MRI, a clinical PET/MRI, Dual Energy CT and digital PET/CT The department's PACS system is integrated into a comprehensive electronic clinical information system Annual study volumes are approaching 1,300,000 across several imaging locations throughout the region Responsibilities Oversee a team of 14 faculty members supported by licensed professional extenders and a dedicated radiology communication center Perform CT, MRI, US, Abdominal Fluoroscopy, and PET/CT with internal sub-specialization in line with a faculty member interest Provide diagnostic imaging and teaching at the primary medical center and collaborate with superb clinical colleagues Compensation Salary range: $530,000 - $555,000 Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process Leadership incentive of up to $30,000 Benefits Generously managed professional account supporting professional activities 403b and 457 plans Disability insurance Tuition benefits Service time may count toward the public service federal loan forgiveness program Competitive combined vacation and conference time each year Shift & Schedule Average of one day per week of dedicated academic time to allow for professional development Section heads get an additional one day every two weeks of protected time Qualifications MD/DO or equivalent Fellowship trained or Equivalent Experience in Abdominal Imaging ABR Certified/Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology NYS Licensed or License Eligible Open to visa sponsorship
