Network Operations Watch Officer

Description Global Service Management‑Operations II (GSM‑O II) within the Digital Modernization Sector of Leidos has an opening for a Network Operations Watch Officer at the DISA Joint Operations Center (DJOC) on Ft. Meade, MD. This position requires U.S. citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance. As the Network Operations Watch Officer, you will enable Command and Control (C2) of the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN) by ensuring its overall health through 24/7 monitoring, directing, controlling, coordinating, de‑conflicting, synchronizing, and reporting the current connectivity status of the physical layer Transport supporting DODIN to DJOC Battle Captains and DISA Current Operations senior leaders. Shift work details: This is a shift work position that requires at least one weekend shift per week and may also require work on holidays. It is an active participant in the Contingency Support and the Emergency Readiness Group (ERG); employees are considered emergency personnel who will perform duty functions at customer off‑site facilities within the DC Metro area. Primary Responsibilities Provide in‑depth knowledge and recommendations to the Battle Captain on potential impacts and possible routing options to help restore key warfighter resources. Understand the physical layer of the DODIN and how it supports DISA’s mission to provide combat support; assure command and control and information‑sharing capabilities across the full spectrum of military operations. In accordance with contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs), conduct an initial analysis of reported outages and contact the DJOC Battle Captain within 15 minutes of receipt. Track current outages that will impact the DODIN (e.g., fiber cuts, equipment failures, facility outages). Maintain knowledge of the status/recovery process of Internet Access Points (IAP), Trans‑Oceanic Trunks (TOT), and high‑capacity circuits/trunks and links. Provide timely reporting for all reportable outages through published reports up to the DJOC Battle Captain, DISA Director and other senior leaders. Create network topologies and architecture diagrams as needed. Basic Qualifications Active TS/SCI security clearance. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline and 4+ years of related experience; additional experience, education, and training may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience with Microsoft technologies (MS Office 2013, SharePoint). Experience with system applications: Global Ticket Management System (GTMS) Remedy, World Wide Online System (WWOLS), NCCM‑R, or Telecommunications Certification Office Support System (TCOSS). Good oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Flexibility, dependability, and ability to multi‑task with priorities. Preferred Qualifications Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ ce. Experience with support applications: Mission Assurance Decision Support System (MADSS), Integrated Network Management System (INMS), Direct Connect Online (DCO), SKIWEB, ITIL V3. Experience briefing senior leaders. Demonstrated experience of providing excellent customer service. Pay Range Pay Range: $73,450.00 - $132,775.00.
