About the Position

Job Title

Travel Respiratory Therapist – RRT / NICU

Location

Fort Worth, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | Every Other Weekend | No Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and analysis
• Assist with intubation procedures and manage ventilated patients, including those in the NICU
• Administer nebulizer treatments, IPPB, CPT, and Metaneb therapy
• Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators in accordance with patient care plans
• Provide respiratory care services across ICU, NICU, and ED patient populations spanning all age ranges
• Deliver high-quality patient care with strong customer service skills throughout each shift

Required Qualifications

• Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
• BLS certification required
• NICU experience required
• ICU and ED experience required
• Ability to perform ABG draws independently
• Minimum 2+ years of hospital-based respiratory therapy experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience operating the Servo I ventilator
• Experience using I-Stat point-of-care testing device
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Experience caring for patients across all age ranges in a fast-paced acute care environment
