Compensation Range: $15.85/hr - 23.77/hr

Job Title: Material Handler II

Position Summary:

As part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team the Material Handler I plays a critical role in enabling our customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer. This position is responsible for supporting warehouse and production operations through the safe compliant and efficient handling of materials in accordance with company policies quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick pack stage and ship materials in alignment with customer requirements and internal procedures
• Perform material movements (raw materials components finished goods) using manual methods or powered industrial equipment (as certified)
• Execute transactions within ERP/WMS systems (AS400) with a high degree of accuracy
• Ensure materials are properly labeled stored and handled in accordance with GMP safety and quality standards
• Identify and escalate discrepancies non-conformances or inventory issues in a timely manner
• Adhere to all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies including proper use of PPE
• Maintain a clean organized and inspection-ready workspace in alignment with 5S principles
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams to ensure operational efficiency

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse manufacturing or logistics environment
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP/WMS systems
• Ability to read understand and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a regulated environment (GMP ISO FDA etc.)
• Familiarity with AS400 or similar ERP systems
• Forklift or powered industrial truck certification (or ability to obtain)
• Understanding of inventory control practices (FIFO FEFO)

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
• Frequent standing walking bending and reaching
• Work performed in a warehouse or manufacturing environment which may include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $15.85$23.77.
