Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry float pool setting across applicable units based on facility needs
• Float to various units as requested based on census and staffing needs of the facility
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EPIC EMR
• Complete NIH Stroke Scale and stroke education requirements as mandated for acute care RN roles
• Maintain compliance with all facility policies, unit-specific protocols, and assignment requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license in hand at time of submittal, or valid Compact RN license with proof provided
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required — must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale and stroke education required
• Specialty experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry within the last year required
• One supervisory reference required at time of submittal
• Social Security Number required at time of submittal
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• All time-off requests must be submitted at initial application; no additional time-off requests will be considered after an offer has been extended. Time off should be kept to a minimum, with no full calendar weeks off preferred and no more than 7 days total during the assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Strong adaptability and ability to transition between units efficiently
