Join the Telemetry RN team in a full time day shift capacity at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center! This role offers a $25,000 sign-on bonus for eligible, experienced RNs. The position is full time on Day Shift working three 12 hour shifts. Our Telemetry department has been described by our staff as having a safe environment with a dedicated and professional team. Our Telemetry has a low patient ratio, so our staff enjoy having extra time to spend with their patients while still honing their skills.

Department Description: 2S is a telemetry unit that specializes in cardiac, respiratory, wounds and other acute care needs. It is also staffed with RNs and LPNs.

Job Summary: Responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Directs and guides patient teaching and the activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Experience:

• Entry level-graduate per Education requirements
• Specialty Units-At least 1 year of medical-surgical nursing preferred. (i.e. ICU, Maternity, Psych)

Skills:

• See core competencies and unit specific competencies

Licensure/Certificates/Certification:

• Current NYS license to perform as a registered professional nurse
• Current BLS-CPR certification required (or within first 30 days of employment)
• Specialty Unit - Maternity Neonatal Resuscitation Certification within 6 months of employment
• Specialty Unit ICU- ACLS within 6 months of hire

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $54.12 per hour, plus differentials!
