Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)is adding a  Physician Assistant - Surgery to the group at  NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health .  South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy.  The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details:

• Provide clinical care in an outpatient setting including patient examination, recommendations for and/or interpretation of appropriate routine diagnostic tests.
• Inform the supervising physician of all changes in the patient's condition and pertinent diagnostic results.  
• Surgical assist in the Operating Room with a surgical robot - Perform inpatient rounds, collect data and write pertinent progress notes on charts.
• Counsel patients regarding physical and mental health.
• Develop patient management plans in accordance with established protocols in conjunction with the attending physician.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program.
• Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $131,127* - $174,836*based on 40-hour work week.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239** - $192,319**,  which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution and other factors as set forth below:

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
