Senior Leasing Manager Location: Connecticut , Meridan Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday - Friday | Travel Between CT & MA as Needed Experience Level: 10+ Years Industry: Multifamily Property Management About the Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Leasing Manager to oversee leasing operations and drive occupancy, revenue growth, and leasing performance across multifamily properties in Connecticut and Massachusetts.This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned leasing professional who combines strong sales and marketing skills with hands-on leadership, market knowledge, and a deep understanding of multifamily leasing and compliance . The successful candidate will lead and develop leasing teams, implement effective leasing strategies, and ensure properties are positioned to maximize occupancy and gross potential rent. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement effective leasing strategies to achieve and maintain maximum occupancy. Utilize consultative sales techniques to maximize revenue and leasing performance. Conduct engaging property tours and build strong relationships with prospective residents. Lead, train, coach, and support leasing agents to achieve performance excellence. Conduct market comparable studies and analyze competitive properties to ensure optimal pricing and positioning. Partner with the Marketing Director to maximize property visibility and improve lead generation and conversion. Oversee lease applications, renewals, move-ins, and related documentation. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws , property standards, company policies, and applicable regulations. Stay current on industry regulations, leasing trends, and property management best practices. Handle essential administrative responsibilities supporting day-to-day leasing operations. Maintain accurate lease agreements and resident documentation using property management platforms including OneSite, Yardi, and Rent Café . Monitor leasing activity and identify opportunities to improve traffic, conversion, occupancy, and revenue. Travel between properties in Connecticut and Massachusetts as business needs require. Qualifications 10+ years of progressive experience in multifamily leasing or property management. Proven success developing and executing leasing strategies in the multifamily housing industry. Strong understanding of lease agreements, legal requirements, Fair Housing, and compliance standards. Experience with HUD, Section 8, and LIHTC leasing requirements and compliance is strongly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in multifamily marketing, sales, resident relations, and lead conversion. Proficiency with property management software such as OneSite, Yardi, and Rent Café . Previous experience leading, training, and developing leasing professionals. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple properties or competing priorities. Excellent communication, leadership, sales, and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently while providing effective leadership and accountability to a team. Must be comfortable traveling between Connecticut and Massachusetts as needed. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
